Rockets to Send Rafer Alston to Orlando
ESPN is reporting that the Rockets, Orlando Magic, and Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to a three-way trade that would send Alston to Orlando, the Grizzlies would recieve Orlando's first round pick, and the Rockets would receive Kyle Lowery and Brian Cook.
Personally I never really liked Rafer, but I thought he was having one of his best seasons this year. But I like Aaron Brooks a lot better.

The Rockets continue to disappoint
Stephen A. Smith reported last night on ESPN that Tracy McGrady is done for the season. He will have micro fracture surgery on his left knee. This just worsens a already disappointing season. It seems like every year the Rockets have a chance to contend for a championship, but then someone always gets hurt. Injuries have plagued the Rockets for the past couple of seasons. McGrady trade rumors have been floating around but I doubt anyone will bite now that he is done for the season and going to be coming off of knee surgery.

Streak for the Cash
So ESPN has this game on thier website called Streak for the Cash. Everyday they have a list of matchups that will happen that day and you have to pick a winner of the two. So for example they might have, Who will win between the Rockets and the Lakers? or Who will score more points?, and different matchups like that. The point of the game is to accumulate the longest winning streak. Every month the person with the most wins gets like $2500 and if you get a 25 win streak you get $1million. So i've been playing for a while now and it is the hardest thing ever. I thought i knew sports and could possibly make some money playing this game but after maybe 3 months of playing this game i have yet to even surpass a 5 game winning streak. What's worse is i have a under .500 winning percentage. Check it out, it's pretty fun.

DJ Hero
Activision, the creators of the Guitar Hero series, is said to be launching a "DJ Hero" later on this year. Equipped with a turntable and headphones you will be able to play and mix songs. I always thought it would be cool to be a DJ. Do you think this new idea will be successful?

Economic Stimulus Plan
One of the pros according to the stimulus plan is that there will several tax breaks. The recovery package has tax breaks for families that send a child to college, purchase a new car, buy a first home or make the ones they own more energy efficient. Millions of workers can expect to see about $13 extra in their weekly paychecks, starting around June, from a new $400 tax credit to be doled out through the rest of the year. Couples would get up to $800. In 2010, the credit would be about $7.70 a week, if it is spread over the entire year. First-time homebuyers who purchase their homes before Dec. 1 would be eligible for an $8,000 tax credit, and people who buy new cars before the end of the year can write off the sales taxes.
However, one thing about this $790 billion package is that it will jack up the national debt. The 2009 deficit is expected to hit $1.6 trillion. This will certainly effect us in the long run. Sure there will be tax breaks now but we will have to pay for this later on. Our children and possibly their children will be forced to pay higher taxes and have limited government services because of this increasing debt.
So basically our country is in the crapper and there is no easy way out. What are your thoughts?
